What Is Skin Needling ?

Skin needling, commonly known as "Collagen Induction Therapy," is a minimally invasive procedure that boosts collagen and elastin production.  With its medical micro-needles, skin needling creates minute punctures into the skin's surface layers. Your natural wound healing response is triggered by the small wounds in your papillary dermis, which works to resurface your epidermis.

As the treatment is non-ablative and minimally invasive to the dermis, it can be performed on various parts of the body.

What Does Skin Needling Treat ?

  • Texture

  • Pigmentation

  • Acne / Acne Scars

  • Congestion

  • Fine lines

  • Ageing

  • Stretch Marks

  • Scaring

  • Hair Growth

  • Individuals often have a visible pink-red tone across the treated region for 3 to 5 days after treatment. Your skin may peel in select spots on the third day after treatment as it begins to resurface, this can vary between each individual

  • For optimal results, an appropriate home care regime should be determined by your clinician to prepare and strengthen your skin. 3 days before your treatment, you should discontinue the usage of any Vitamin A, AHAs, or BHAs. Wear SPF on a daily basis and stay clear of direct sunlight.

  • After treatment, avoid sun exposure, suanas, hot water, exercise, and any active vitamins in your skin care. It is recommended that you use a soothing product prescribed by your therapist following treatment to aid in the healing of your skin.

  • Skin needling is not the most comfortable therapy therefore, a topical anaesthetic cream may be applied before the treatment to ease discomfort.

  • Individuals respond differently to skin needling depending on their skin conditions; for optimal results, a minimum of three sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended.
